In addition to the Edessian Preservation Initiative, Lost Origin Productions is creating a multi-volume series of rare field recordings titled The Lost Sound Series. The series will begin with a LP of rare Sufi recordings Hamacher captured in 2010. This was the first time the Sufi group allowed an outsider to attend, let alone record, their private chant sessions. The recording took place in the courtyard of a 400-year-old home in the old city of Aleppo, Syria.
J Robbins is mixing the album, Josh Bonati is mastering, and Khaled Akil is providing artwork.
